Earlier this month I got to speak at the first-ever CryptoCurrency Con in Atlanta. You can watch the video of my talk, Why a Free Society Needs a Free Money, here.
Bitcoin Magazine also published the full transcript of the talk.
My purpose here is to first emphasize the importance of what you’re doing with Bitcoin. I truly believe you are early pioneers who are ultimately making the world a richer place.
But then I also want to motivate you to join me in fighting for the freedom to continue doing it.
Because it’s truly up to us, to the people who understand what this knowledge can do for the world, to fight for the freedom to find it. Please, join me in the fight to keep Bitcoin free and legal.
The event featured a Friday night reception with a performance by Famed musician Tatiana Moroz hosted by Bitpay and a Saturday reception for the “Life on Bitcoin” couple.
The United States’ first Bitcoin ATM made an appearance thanks to Atlanta Bitcoin.
The event was conceived of and planned by Jeffrey Tucker, whose newest project is the soon-to-launch Liberty.me.
The Let’s Talk Bitcoin podcasters also attended, and conducted a round-table interview with some of the speakers and attendees. My solo interview starts at the 28-minute mark.
At 19 minutes in, Jason from Sean’s Outpost tells are really important story about how Bitcoin is filling in the gaps left by the state-sponsored social safety net.
See the rest of the photos here.
I’m so thrilled to have been invited by Jeffrey to speak and to meet everyone there.
